Description

MaxCide is a biocide designed to give highly antimicrobial properties to protect synthetic latex, polymer emulsions, modified corn starch suspensions, etc. Large savings in costs can be achieved from the correct usage of MaxCide. It is a non-surface-active blended biocide with the composition of triazine and benzisothiazoline.

MaxCide as preservative in modified starch suspension

MaxCide is added to the wet-chalking slurry tank in the rubber hand gloves process as an effective preservative against fouling. A level of 0.1% w/w is sufficient to control any bacteria and fungi presence in the modified corn starch suspension.

  • Saccharomyces cerevisiae
  • Candida albicans

Acute Oral Toxicity
The LC 50 figure for MaxCide as determined on white mice was found to be 2600 ppm / kilo body weight.
